Dwight Howard Sued for Child Support
On November 18, 2007, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard became a father. Royce Lyndsay Reed (the former NBA cheerleader shown right in a bikini) gave birth to his son, Braylon Joshua Robert Howard.Friday, Reed filed a paternity suit against Howard in the Orange County Circuit Court. The suit is asking to establish Howard's fatherhood officially (Howard has already acknowledged he is the father) and to determine child support and responsibilities.
Reed is requesting the court award "child support determined by Florida's Child Support Guidelines." Those guidelines normally take into account several factors, including parental income. Howard signed a five-year, $80 million contract last summer.
Though it might appear like Reed is after the money, she wants bloggers and reporters alike to know there was more . According to Reed's website, she had a three-year relationship with Howard while she was a dancer. "I find it funny how most of you think money when the two parties involved felt love!" she wrote.

emIt's soo obvious to see that it is amount money. When are these young men going to wake up? The reason most of these womenn get jobs as cheerleaders is to display their wares, it's all advertising. They're direct marketers, and it is so easy to get these young brothers because of their egos. They all believe they are players because they have a little money. It's the age old game that real players have been playing on pretenders since the beginning of time. IF YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR EMOTION, YOU CAN'T CONTOL YOUR LIFE. Wakeup young brothers get it fixed temporarily until you are ready to settle down, or continue to be played by the new palyers in the game.
actually howard hasnt paid any form of support nor does he see the child. get your facts together people! he doesnt pay 4 any baby needs, hasnt signed the birth certificate although he took a test, doesnt help with bills, does not include him on his insurance...only thing he did was buy her a car but its in his name so its not really hers... hes a deadbeat! she waited this long to give him a chance to change...since november! i dont blame her! yes all this is truth!
Do you have a link to verify Howard hasn't paid child support? I wouldn't doubt it; it would be logical since she is just now bringing the suit.
Superman can't use a rubber? I can't imagine that athletes still think the snatch is good enough to look out for this kind of trap.
Athletes just continue to prove that money gets you in trouble if you don't know what you're doing with it. Use your brains guys... look at what happened with Kobe in Colorado...
Actually Reed is asking for an upward adjustment to what she is getting already. Plus she is asking for money not just for the baby, but for herself as well. It's all in the petition that Reed sent to the newspapers.
One site posted that Howard offered 10 thousand a month, but Reed turned it down as not enough.
I think that most here could do very well on 10 thousand a month with children.
Here is an interesting tibit before Miss Reed shut down her MySpace account she complained in her blog that Dwight did not trust her since he always used condoms when they had sex.
That's what happen when you go up in there naked. She says the baby wasn't planned but she was on any type of birth control. What did she think would happen, having unprotected sex. But the baby does need to be taken cared of and Dwight will man up.
This situation is ridiculus, but typical. These women get pregnant and then they become mad and out of rage they try to take the man for everything. That heefer wants more than 10,000 a month so she doesnt have to work. Why cant cant she be satisfied with that, some women dont get anything. Dwight get joint custody and do you. Some people are such haters. Dwight is not a child he knew exactly what to do to keep from getting her pregnant, so it is not totally her fault. Do you girl. Take him for what you can get. And if you can get more. good luck and keep up the goooood work..
it's funny if they both felt love dwight wouldve been there the baby was born. that girl know that she wasnt the only girl dwight was messin with or they would still be together and she wouldnt be asking for over 15000 dollars for child support. if love was there then wouldnt be askin for that much money. try hard to make yourself look good... it's all bout the money!!!!! or they would still be together!
I just found out about this and I am shocked. I know Dwight and I had no idea. He vibes as a very sweet, caring person. I don't know Royce, and I'm not doubting her, nor Dwights feelings for each other. But Royce you have to be honest not only with us, but mostly to yourself. Homegirl you put yourself out there. If you really think he didnt trust you because you had to use condoms, You should have called it quits from there. Because if he is such a Christian then he shouldnt even be fornicating. You knew what you were getting yourself into. Dont tell me that you dont know what happens while being unprotected.
